A Spanish Dubloon

This was a very special coin found on the Treasure Coast of Florida. There are many divers that recover treasure from the ships that were sunk off the coast many years ago and this was found washed up in the sand on the beach.

The present owner of the coin approached me with a request to wrap it very simply.  She did not wish to just "learve it in the drawer", and wanted to be able to wear it.  She wanted to showcase the coin, not the wrapping.

This is the other side of the coin.  The wire encases the coin and wrapping it in this manner makes it reversible.  It is worn on a chain.
